10 Years is an American alternative metal band, formed in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2000. The band features members frontman Jesse Hasek, guitarist Ryan "Tater" Johnson, guitarist Matt Wantland, bassist Lewis "Big Lew" Cosby, and drummer Brian Vodinh. The band was signed to Universal Republic in 2005 and soon after released their major label debut, 'The Autumn Effect' which featured the smash singles "Wasteland" and "Through the Iris." Their sophomore effort, 'Division' was released on May 13, 2008.
Guitarist Matt Wantland of the band 10 Years was kind enough to call in to CleveRock Music Portal headquarters after their kickass performance at Rock on the Range in Columbus the previous weekend to talk about that show, the band's brand new album release, 'Division' (released just eight days before the interview on 5.13.08), the pressures of living up to high standards on their follow up album and avoiding the "sophomore slump," why 10 Years choses to "go deep" with their lyrics in an industry full of generic and meaningless jabber, the success of their debut single "Wasteland," the band's upcoming summer on Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution Tour, and much more. Luke Bryan (born Thomas Luther Bryan in Leesburg, Georgia) is an American country music singer-songwriter who made his debut in 2007 with the single "All My Friends Say," a Top 5 single on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. His first album, 'I'll Stay Me,' was released on Capitol Records in 2007. Luke also co-wrote Billy Currington's single "Good Directions," which spent three weeks at Number One on the Billboard country charts in the summer of 2007.
