Mae is an American rock band that formed in Norfolk Virginia[3][4] in 2001. The band's name is an acronym for Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience, based on a course taken by drummer Jacob Marshall while a student at Old Dominion University.
Jacob Marshall and Dave Elkins began what would become Mae by writing their first song, "Embers and Envelopes," in Marshall's living room. The band signed with Tooth and Nail Records and released their first album, 'Destination: Beautiful,' in 2003. They released their second full-length album,
'The Everglow,' in 2005. The band toured extensively to promote it, and also performed on the Vans Warped Tour. Mae re-released
'The Everglow in 2006, adding three new songs and a 2-hour DVD.
According to Elkins in a 2003 interview, while the band members are Christians, Mae is not a "Christian band"
MAE takes some time out to hang backstage after their set at Warped Tour 2005 in Orlando, FL. The guys talk about their experiences at Warped Tour, what it's like to live on a "slave ship," what the party scene is like at members' of *N'Sync's house, and what the hell the acronym MAE means.

The group was initially formed in 1992. Signed to American Recordings/Ventrue, their first album, entitled All In The Family, released in 1995, was a pure Hip Hop effort. It contained the underground hit single "Saturday Nite Fever," based on a sample of The Guess Who's "American Woman."
While touring with House of Pain in mid 90s, the group befriended Everlast with whom they recorded "Gravesend (Lake Of Fire)" and some exclusive songs on their own for the 1997 indie film Gravesend. The song was also remixed by Marshall Goodman from Sublime/Long Beach Dub Allstars fame, for Marshall Arts Music (MVP Version) and by Lord Finesse who added verses by himself and O.C., but cut Everlast's verse. A second Lord Finesse remix was made and added new verses by Everlast and Lordz Of Brooklyn, both versions, however, were only available on a promotional single.
The Lord Finesse short remix was not released to the public until the Lordz Of Brooklyn next release, the 2000 Vinyl EP The Lordz Of Brooklyn Meet Bumpy Knuckles, released on their own and distributed through Landspeed since Island Records purchased American Recordings and Venture got closed. The three track EP also featured a song with Ozzy Osbourne sampled in the chorus and a song with Freddie Foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles and IP aka Ice Pirate.
2000 also saw the release of the Lordz Of Brooklyn cover version of Run DMC's Hip Hop classic "Sucker MCs" on the tribute album Take A Bite Outta Rhyme: A Rock Tribute To Rap. Their version featured Stoned Soul and Everlast and is reportedly Run's most favorite Run DMC cover.
The group's next album release, Graffiti Roc, was rather a compilation of various previously recorded tracks than a proper studio album, and followed in 2003. It featured Busta Rhymes, Korn, Rampage of the Flipmode Squad, and others. Now, the groups' style leaned towards a crossover sound of both Hip Hop and Rock influences. By that time, Scotty Edge, Dino Bottz and Paulie 2Times have already left, and the McLeer brothers added live musicians on guitar, bass and drums to tour festivals such as Vans Warped Tour in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
In 2006 the group shortened their name for the release of the third album The Brooklyn Way. Featured artists are long time collaborator Everlast, Bedouin Soundclash, Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup and Tim Armstrong of Rancid. But not only the name has changed, the group's sound changed as well, there are only very few, if any, Hip Hop references. The majority of the songs is now rock-driven.
In 2007, Scotty Edge has rejoined the group for their spring tour with Fishbone. Mr. Kaves also became a "Capo" member of the rap group La Coka Nostra.
The entire gang from Lordz Of Brooklyn take the hot seats backstage at Warped Tour 2005 at Tinker's Field in Orlando, FL. The boyz discuss life on the Warped Tour, their current projects, the closing of CBGB, and more.

Relient K is a band that was formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio. They are considered to be part of the alternative, pop punk, and Christian rock genres. The band named themselves after guitarist Matt Hoopes' Plymouth Reliant K car. The band has received numerous awards including a Grammy nomination in 2003 for Best Rock Gospel Album and two Dove Awards.
All the members are Christians, although some fans have questioned the band being in the Christian rock genre. On this subject, lead singer Matt Thiessen stated in an interview:
"Our whole answer is, call us whatever you want. You can call us a Christian band, you can call us a rock and roll band. And we can go out on tour with this band, and we can go out on tour with that band. But we don't care. We're just doing what we do. We're having fun. We write about what we want to write about and, you know, most of the time, that's, you know, our hearts and our faith."
The entire gang from Canton, OH natives Relient K plant their asses on an empty football field just before a giant rainstorm at a stop on the Warped Tour at Tinker's Field in Orlando, FL. The boys talk about their experience on their inagural run on Warped Tour, their apathy towards politics, and the transition from the Christian to secular rock scene.
