"I grew up in Roberta, Georgia (pop. 808)...

I'd have to say my biggest influence is my dad. He played guitar and sang for me ever since I was a baby. His music was the only thing I ever listened to as a kid.

And...Whoever bought me that Mariah Carey tape "Emotions" did me a huge favor... I would practice singing to her every day. I owe my lucky ear to my dad and that tape.

The first time I sang in public was at an all black Southern Baptist church on Christmas eve when I was 8. For some reason I decided to sing "White Christmas..." I just recently realized the humor in that -- but luckily at the time, everyone thought it was cute...

Soon after, I started singing in talent shows and would do the National Anthem for opening day of little league baseball.

I would always act like i could play my dads Gibson -- 'till he was getting pissed that I kept knocking it around...So he bought me my very own guitar when I was 13. As soon as i learned a new chord -- i wrote a new song...And thats pretty much how it goes."

After being offered record deals by Atlantic, Roadrunner, and Universal Records, Hinder signed with Universal records in 2005. Although All Music Guide called 'Extreme Behavior' one of the year's worst albums, throughout 2005 the album was heavily anticipated, and Hinder won the monthly Launch "Who's Next" contest for emerging bands. Brian Howes and Mike Fraser produced album, 'Extreme Behavior,' was then set for release in the United States. The single "Get Stoned" from Extreme Behavior was also released on iTunes as a free Single of the Week in August 2005.

'Extreme Behavior' track "Shoulda" was originally written and recorded by Canadian band Social Code for their 'A Year At The Movies' album, but was scrapped when finalizing the album. The song was brought to Hinder by Universal when trying to finish up their album. They re-wrote portions of the songs to fit their sound and style and decided to use it on the album.

As a Christmas gift to their fanclub the Hinder Army, Hinder recorded "A Little Drummer Boy"

In October 2007, Hinder released their limited edition cd/dvd of Extreme Behavior entitled 'You Can't Make This Sh*t Up.'

In 2007, Hinder received Oklahoma's Rising Star Award.

Buckcherry is a Los Angeles rock band, formed in 1995. The band released two albums (1999's self-titled debut and 2001's 'Time Bomb') before dissolving in summer 2002. In 2005, Josh Todd (lead vocals) and Keith Nelson (guitarist) put together a new band using the Buckcherry moniker and released a new album in April 2006 called 15, and it spawned Buckcherry's biggest crossover hit to date, "Crazy Bitch".
They were signed to DreamWorks Records shortly after. The band released its self titled debut in 1999 to critical praise and certified gold sales. The album, produced by Terry Date (Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Pantera, ex-Sex Pistols Steve Jones), included three modern rock chart hits in "Lit Up,""Check Your Head," and "For The Movies."
