Road Trip to Detroit, Anyone?

After taking some time off to fight acute lymphoblastic leukemia and work on his other project, Jack’s Mannequin, frontman Andrew McMahon is back with his reunited band, Something Corporate. In advance of their upcoming reunion tour, Something Corporate released a greatest hits record, ‘Played in Space: The Best of Something Corporate.’ The band joined together this spring to play all three editions of Bamboozle festival (New Jersey, California, Illinois) for their first shows since briefly playing together at a Jack’s Mannequin gig in 2006. Something Corporate is now ready to take to the road for a full blown tour. With minimal support from radio and without a ton of mainstream media exposure, the piano based punk rock outfit has still seen strong album sales and sold out tour dates. Their only two charting singles to date are “If You C Jordan” off of their 2001 ‘Audioboxer’ EP and “Space” from their latest studio effort, 2003’s ‘North.’ Other fan favorites includes “Konstantine,” “Punk Rock Princess,” “Hurricane,” and “Me & The Moon.” The current tour is scheduled to be “an evening with,” aka no opening acts, just Something Corporate performing their hits and fan favorites. CleveRock is making the trip to Detroit. Are you?
