Kid Rock is schedule to play The Q on Saturday, May 17th as part of his Rock N Roll Revival Tour. Tickets for the show are priced from $35 to $69.50 and will go on sale this Saturday, (4/5) at 10:00 AM. Rev Run from Run DMC and Peter Wolf from J Geils Band will open. Kid is on the road supporting his 2007 release ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Jesus.’ It’s not often us folks here at CleveRock encourage you to skip out on a Cleveland concert for another market. HOWEVER, you don’t want to miss Rock on the Range, taking place in Columbus that same weekend - May 17th-18th at Crew Stadium. Worried about missing Kid Rock? You ought not be. He is headlining the festival Sunday night!
Another Huge Concert Announcement
Robert Plant | Allison Krauss will take the stage at Time Warner Cable Amphitheater (could they have picked a worse venue for this show?) on July 15th. Once again, we’ve beat the venue to the punch in announcing the show, but we’ve done some research and found that ticket prices will range from $25-$89.50. A fan club presale runs 4/7-4/9 and the public on sale date is 4/17. For those of you unaware, Plant and Krauss collaborated on an album, ‘Raising Sand,’ released in October. The album is Allison Krauss Style, not Zeppelin rock. The two will be performing songs from the album, with some additional covers and some solo tunes thrown in. If you’re going in hopes of hearing “Black Dog” or “Stairway to Heaven,” forget about it.
In Other Concert News
Augustana is scheduled to perform at House of Blues on May 15th with special guest David Ford. Tickets are priced at $22 for reserved balcony seats and $15 for general admission floor. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 4/4 at 10:00 AM. Augustana continues their long trek on the road in support of ‘All the Stars and Boulevards’ which features the singles “Boston” as well as the album’s title track. The Jealous Girlfriends take the stage at Beachland Ballroom on June 4th with special guests Sea Wolf. Tickets are only $8 and are available immediately.
Rock-N-Resort
The headliners are rolling in for the 5th annual Rock N Resort, being held once again at Clay’s Park Resort in N. Lawrence, Ohio. This year’s festival is scheduled for the weekend of July 18th-20th. Closing out this year’s festival will be Blue Oyster Cult. (Can I get a little more cowbell please?) Sunday night’s other headliner will be Creedence Clearwater Revisited, featuring the former rhythm section of the defunct Creedence Clearwater Revival. The vocals for this show will be provided by Gregg Rolie, the original lead singer for Santana. Gregg Rolie will be playing a set with his own band on Saturday night as well. Friday, the undisputed greatest band of all time, THE GIN BLOSSOMS will perform. Who can forget the hits “Hey Jealousy,” “Found Out About You,” “Allison Road,” “Until I Fall Away,” “Follow You Down,” and a few more. The band’s new stuff aint half bad either. A slew of ticket options are available for the show depending on if you want to camp, attend multiple days, or play at the water park before the show. You can review all of your options here.
