DVSN Concert Review

Reading Time: 2 mins read

Cleveland’s House of Blues felt like an intimate house party on April Fool’s Day thanks to DVSN (Pronounced Division), the Canadian R&B duo composed of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85 who are signed to their fellow Canadian Drake‘s OVO Sound. Daley, as the face of DVSN, had the females in the crowd going wild. If I had to sum up this show up in two words they would be SEX and APPEAL.

The show had no opener, but the vibes were definitely set with the house DJ playing hip-hop and R&B classics to get the audience ready to sing along to their favorite sultry artist.

The concert began with a dramatic intro, as the stage was bathed in deep red light and the crowd erupted in cheers. Daley emerged from the shadows, his smooth vocals filling the arena as he launched into the opening track, “Last Time.” The crowd swayed to the beat, completely entranced by his mesmerizing voice.

Throughout the concert, Dvsn performed a mix of new and old songs, showcasing their versatility and range as artists. From the sultry “Body Smile” to the upbeat “If I Get Caught,” the duo had the crowd singing and dancing along to every word of every song.

Daley also incorporated many of his own renditions of popular R&B songs that allowed everyone to get their emotions out. When the first note of  SZA’s hit song, “I Hate You” dropped, it was a collective breath of people ready to scream their hearts out to the pain of a broken relationship. He had a great stage presence, singling out individual women to serenade while looking them in the eyes. He was clearly creating connections from the stage.

Not only was there a heartfelt connection between Daley and the audience but there was also a time in the show that some of the women got to experience a physical connection as well. He invited five women up on stage to dance to the song “Touch it” – which one had to be there – it was a super fun and energetic performance to witness, to say the least.

Overall, Dvsn delivered an incredible concert experience that left the audience wanting more. With their unique blend of soulful R&B and infectious energy, it’s no wonder that they’ve become one of the most exciting acts in music today.
