On Thursday, March 7, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum held a legendary evening that Clevelanders are lucky to have, while those outside of Northeast Ohio are on the outside looking in, soaked with jealousy.
The museum invited some amazingly talented women to launch its new exhibit, Revolutionary Women in Music: Left of Center. This exclusive and hand-curated exhibit is just one of the many things currently on display at Cleveland’s prized museum.
The exhibit “examines the work of courageous, groundbreaking, rebellious musicians, from the 1970s to today, who use songwriting, music, and performance to subvert societal norms.”
Those lucky enough to attend caught glimpses of 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s, Shirley Manson of Garbage, 90s hitmaker Lisa Loeb, and one of the best guitarists on the planet, Malina Moye, as they walked the red carpet! The exhibit is situated on Level 0 (just past the Beatles exhibit).
A special and personal presentation from these legendary women highlighted the dedication of this long-overdue exhibit. Cleverock staff members were fortunate enough to be onhand for the presentation. And, thanks to CleveRock’s mad video recording skills, you are fortunate enough to catch the action, too! (You’re welcome!)

If it was not awesome enough that we got to hear from all five of these amazing women—yes, that includes Rock Hall curator Shelby Morrison—we were also privy to a special performance by Malina Moye. Immediately afterward, her guitar was locked up and displayed for museum visitors to enjoy!

The exhibit is now open to the general public and is included with any general admission ticket to the museum. There are some amazing surprises that shouldn’t be spoiled, so make sure to stop by the Rock Hall and check it out!
