Australian Native and Nashville transplant Katie Cole (a touring member of Smashing Pumpkins) plans to make a new album, ‘Forest,‘ including contributions from some of Nashville’s most prized session musicians and an orchestra. This crowdfunded record will be recorded with help from producer Howard Willing!
This is an ambitious project, especially for an independent artist, and she needs your help!

On the pledge page for the campaign, Cole notes: “I’ve always tried to add a splash theatrical sound into my music, but you can’t fake that big band sound. It’s always been a dream of mine to record songs with a small ORCHESTRA. This means, strings, woodwind and horns; any combination of these instruments!”
She says she is hoping to make an album like Dusty Springfield’s ‘Dusty in Memphis’ or Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,’ but with her Americana blend of music!
The deadline for Katie’s Kickstarter is September 18! Help her make the album?
Cole joined CleveRock on ZOOM to discuss her vision for ‘Forest’ and fill us in on touring life with Smashing Pumpkins.
