Joey Valence and Brae Concert Review | Cleveland, OH | 09.15.24

Cleveland’s Grog Shop became a pulsating epicenter of high-octane music and contagious energy on Saturday night (09.14.2024) as Joey Valence and Brae headlined a spectacular show. The atmosphere was electric upon entering, and the evening was a dynamic celebration of live performance.

The night kicked off with a powerhouse set from Godly the Ruler, who set the tone for the evening with a commanding performance, leading the crowd in a chant of “BLOOD, SWEAT, TEARS!” embodying what it felt like to leave this show. Godly’s energetic presence and infectious beats got the crowd moshing, serving as the perfect warm-up for the headliners. Their performance laid a solid foundation, amplifying the anticipation for Joey Valence and Brae.

When Joey Valence and Brae took the stage, the energy in the Grog Shop reached a fever pitch.

Coming out to their current biggest hit, “The Baddest,” the energetic beats had the crowd jumping from the first note. The duo’s performance was a whirlwind of intensity, with high-octane beats and electrifying stage presence from start to finish.

The sold-out crowd packed tightly into the venue. It was a sea of sweaty, pulsating bodies, a testament to the high energy that defined the night. Joey Valence and Brae’s synergy was palpable, and their interaction with each other and the audience created an exhilarating atmosphere.

These young men are just two college best friends that make sick beats in their bedroom and it was the most refreshing thing to see on stage. The intimate setting of the venue only heightened the connection, creating a shared experience that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. Songs like “Like A Punk” and “Omnitrix” were met with roaring approval, and their seamless transitions between tracks kept the momentum going strong throughout.

As the night reached its crescendo, the anticipation for the encore was palpable. When Joey Valence and Brae returned to the stage, they delivered an unforgettable performance of their breakout hit, “Punktastic.” The crowd’s reaction was electric, with fans singing along and dancing with abandon. It was the perfect culmination to an evening of high-energy performances and demonstrated the duo’s ability to captivate and energize their audience.

Joey Valence and Brae delivered a standout performance at the Grog Shop, which was only their fifth stop on their first headlining tour, No Hands. It’s safe to say we all should be excited to see what this relatively new dynamic duo does next. The night was a testament to the power of live music and the incredible atmosphere that can be created in a small venue.
