Concert Review: Wu-Tang Clan | Blossom Music Center | Cuyahoga Falls | 09.09.2026

Reading Time: 3 mins read

Thirty-three years after “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” told us to protect our necks, the Clan rolled into Blossom Music Center on Wednesday night (09.09.26) still swinging just as hard, as part of their farewell run. The tour is entitled “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber,” keeping with their 70s era Kung Fu references, and is meant as a farewell tour for the group as a collective. If this really is one of the last times the surviving members share a stage together, nobody on it seemed interested in taking it easy.

Cleveland’s own Bone Thugs-N-Harmony opened, and the crowd was locked in from the first note. Every age, every race, packed in shoulder to shoulder, all speaking the same language the second those first horns hit. Also packed in: enough haze drifting over the lawn that it was genuinely hard to tell how much was the fog machines and how much was weed. Either way, Blossom smelled like a Wu-Tang show should.

RZA, as the de-facto leader of the group, came out by himself at first. And then, over the next six songs, the rest of the crew trickled out one at a time, each getting their own songs or parts of songs. It was a slow-build reveal that built a bit of suspense to the set, each new member getting his own pop from the crowd, until the Clan was finally complete right as Method Man erupted onto the stage, igniting the crowd even more. It was the perfect ending to the suspense. The entire setup gave you time to appreciate all of them as individuals as well as members, though.

They front-loaded the set with a run straight off 36 Chambers. “Bring da Ruckus,” “Clan in da Front,” “Da Mystery of Chessboxin’,” “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit,” “Method Man,” “Shame on a Nigga,” “Protect Ya Neck.” It was a mind-blowing run for any fan of the group. Then they branched out into the members’ sprawling solo catalogs. Ghostface and Raekwon’s “Rainy Dayz” Ghostface’s “Mighty Healthy,” a stretch of Raekwon on “Criminology,” “Incarcerated Scarfaces,” and “Ice Cream,” Cappadonna’s “Slang Editorial,” and even a Rufus & Chaka Khan cover in “Sweet Thing.”

If there was a single stretch of the night that pushed this from “great farewell show” into something I’ll be talking about for years, it was Method Man’s run. “Release Yo’ Delf,” “Bring the Pain,” “All I Need.” His command of that stage, the physicality, the way he worked the crowd. Even thirty years in, nobody up there moves like Method Man.

GZA got his due with “Liquid Swords,” “Duel of the Iron Mic,” and “4th Chamber,” Masta Killa brought “No Said Date,” U-God got his moment on “Bizarre,” and the second half of the set fel like a true send-off. “Tearz,” “Reunited,” a nod to Ol’ Dirty Bastard on “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Got Your Money,” and finally the two songs that needed no introduction, “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Triumph,” to close it out, the entire group standing in a line on stage, some of them stepping out every now and then for a verse or hook.

Everyone who was supposed to be there showed up, and the pacing never sagged. It was just a group of legends treating a farewell tour like it actually was that, in front of a crowd that matched their energy the entire night. If this really is one of the last times all the surviving members share a stage, the crowd got the version of Wu-Tang that earns that send-off. One of one, indeed.
