‘A Salute to John Williams’ (Cleveland Orchestra)

Joel Voorman

The undisputed greatest film score composer of all time, John Williams was scheduled to make a personal appearance at Severance Hall in April 2020 to conduct the world-renowned Cleveland Orchestra as they performed selections from his vast catalog.

No, Mr. Williams will not be conducting for this ‘Salute to John Williams’ at Mandel Concert Hall @ Severance Hall on Friday, November 12, but Cleveland Orchestra will still be playing selections from some of his best film scores under the direction of Carl Topilow.

Among Williams most famous scores are Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, Jaws, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Home Alone, Schindler’s List, and many, many more!

Williams has collected five Academy Awards and has been nominated 52 times, second only to Walt Disney for the most nominations of all time.
