Baroness

Joel Voorman

Baroness is hitting the road for an all-request tour. This should be fun! Let’s all pitch in and have them play Cardi B.’s “W.A.P.,” Lizzo’s “Tempo,” and throw in Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” (for good measure).

In all seriousness, this is quite a cool concept. Fans that purchase tickets online will receive a link to vote for their favorite Baroness songs when the band stops in Lakewood’s favorite venue, Mahall’s!

Even though the band released their revered ‘Gold & Grey’ in 2019, they never toured the U.S. behind the album, and of course, as they were about to… everything shut down. To celebrate the upcoming tour, the band is doing “an evening with” –

As mentioned, the first performance of the evening will feature a fan-voted setlist, with the second set of hand-picked tunes from the artist.

At the time of release, NPR said: “In its scope, Gold & Grey feels like a callback to the heyday of the rock album as art object — that period in the late ’70s when a radio-friendly rock bands like Led Zeppelin released the sprawling Physical Graffiti, and their even more heady compatriots in Yes released the monolithic Tales from Topographic Oceans.”
