Cleveland's Music Headliner

New York City’s Bodega isn’t your average corner store. This band, formed in 2014, dishes out a potent blend of art rock, post-punk, and indie, capturing the city’s frenetic energy with a sharp edge.

Their sound is a heady mix of angular guitars, driving rhythms, and vocalist Ben Hoak’s sardonic vocals. Drawing inspiration from the city’s vibrant underground scene, Bodega’s music tackles social anxieties and contemporary issues with a healthy dose of dark humor.

Bodega will release their upcoming album, “Our Brand Could Be Yr Life” (April 2024). Everything and nothing has changed since Our Brand’s oldest songs were originally written. Sure, BODEGA has been lauded for their combination of caterwauling rhythms and literary lyrics about liberals hiding out in Barnes & Noble as protests rage on the streets outside. Releases like 2018’s Endless Scroll and 2022’s Broken Equipment may have found them mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Parquet Courts, Wet Leg, and Courtney Barnett. And their reputation as a scintillatingly energetic live act might have seen them elevate from sweaty basement venues to substantial-sized rooms, invariably sold out

Bodega is poised to become a major force in the alternative music scene.
