John and T.J. Osborne, collectively known as Brothers Osborne are heading to Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica for a fun night of country music on the Cuyahoga River!
The bros are on tour in support of their 2020 release, ‘Skeletons., their third studio effort. The band finds a sweet spot between the undeniable radio hits of “Pawn Shop” and the mature, career-building charisma of “Port Saint Joe.” “We want this record to show people that we’re here to stay,” says TJ. “We are a part of the cloth of this genre. Ultimately, what we love to do most is play live, and Skeletons is setting us up to do that even better.” More than anything, it’s a sound rooted in the excitement and electricity of Brothers Osborne’s concerts, packed with songs that could all serve as crowd-rousing encores. Recorded with multi-platinum producer Jay Joyce during a time of global turbulence, ‘Skeletons‘ is a celebratory album for a world in sore need of uplifting music.
“Our concerts are big, loud, rock shows” says John Osborne, whose acclaimed approach to the electric guitar — a unique style that touches upon blues, bluegrass, country, rock, and everything in between — remains one of the band’s touchstones. “We wanted to make a record where, no matter which song we cherrypicked from the tracklist, we’d be able to do it during our show.”
The duo have had hits with “Shoot Me Straight” (2018) and as featured artists on Dierks Bentley’s “Burning Man” (2019). Along with their own songwriting, their musical success is credited to producer Jay Joyce, who had produced all of their music. Artists with whom they have worked include David Nail, Dierks Bentley, Lee Ann Womack, and Lucie Silvas (the latter of which is John’s wife). Their musical style takes influence from Southern rock, outlaw country, and neotraditional country, with particular emphasis on the styles of T.J.’s lead vocals and John’s guitar playing.
