DVSN

Joel Voorman

dvsn is a Canadian R&B duo consisting of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, who is also a frequent collaborator with Drake. The group’s name is pronounced “division” and is a shortened form of “division of sound”.

dvsn first gained attention in 2015 with their debut single “The Line” which was released through Drake’s OVO Sound label. Their first album “Sept. 5th” was released in 2016 and featured guest appearances from singer-songwriter Snoh Aalegra and rapper Ty Dolla $ign. The album was well received by critics and helped establish dvsn as a rising force in R&B.

Since then, dvsn has released several more critically acclaimed albums including “Morning After” in 2017, “A Muse In Her Feelings” in 2020 and “Amusing Her Feelings” in 2021. Their music is known for its blend of traditional R&B with modern electronic production, and often features Daley’s smooth and emotive vocals over Nineteen85’s atmospheric beats.

In addition to their own music, dvsn has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Drake, Future, and PARTYNEXTDOOR. They are known for their live shows, which often feature intricate lighting and staging, and have performed at major music festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
