Jaleel White Appearance (Akron RubberDucks)

Joel Voorman

Beloved sitcom actor Jaleel White, who played the role of Steven Q. Urkel on the smash TGIF show ‘Family Matters,’ will make his appearance at Canal Park during the RubberDucks matchup with the Erie SeaWolves on Saturday, June 26. Game time is 7:05 PM, with gates opening one hour prior. The first 1,000 fans through the turnstile will receive a free Steve Urkel bobblehead (courtesy of Distillata).

Jaleel will be hosting a meet-and-greet with fans at the game! Details on social distancing/COVID protocols have yet to be announced. In previous years, celebrity appearances allowed fans to obtain autographs and pose for photos with the guest of honor.

In addition to his role on ‘Family Matters,’ White has appeared in other roles on shows such as ‘Psych’ and ‘Boston Legal.’ This preview writer was in attendance the night Jaleel made a surprise appearance at Dave Chappelle’s ‘Summer Camp’ shows in Yellow Springs, Ohio last summer.

Come for Jaleel, stay for the post-game fireworks! It’s going to be a great night at Canal Park!

Tickets start at only $5 and can be secured: RIGHT HERE!
