Known for his uncanny ability to joke about the little things in life that relate to audiences everywhere; America’s premier comedian, Jerry Seinfeld, brings his newest stand-up comedy routine to Playhouse Square on February 18.
Of course, Jerry is best known for a show loosely based on his life experiences, Seinfeld, which is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential sitcoms of all time. It has been ranked among television’s best shows in publications such as Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and TV Guide.
In 2013, the Writers Guild of America voted it the No. 2 Best-Written TV Series of All Time (second to The Sopranos). E! named it the “Number 1 reason the ’90s ruled”, and quotes from numerous episodes have become catchphrases in popular culture.
Seinfeld also produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 2007 film Bee Movie, which was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film. In 2010, he premiered a reality series called The Marriage Ref, which aired for two seasons on NBC. Seinfeld is the creator and host of the web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (2012–2019).
Seinfeld has received twenty Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his work on Seinfeld and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee as well as four Grammy Award nominations for his comedy albums.
