Cleveland's Music Headliner

Silversun Pickups

Born from the creative alchemy of Brian Aubert and Nikki Lane, the band has evolved from fuzzy garage rockers to atmospheric masters. Their journey includes four critically acclaimed albums, sold-out international tours, and a loyal fanbase drawn to their raw emotional honesty and genre-bending soundscapes.

The band’s breakthrough came with their debut studio album, “Carnavas,” released in 2006. The album featured hit singles like “Lazy Eye” and “Well Thought Out Twinkles,” which helped establish Silversun Pickups as a notable presence in the alternative music scene. “Lazy Eye” received widespread acclaim for its dynamic instrumentation and catchy melodies.

Subsequent albums include “Swoon” (2009), which further solidified their status with tracks like “Panic Switch,” and “Neck of the Woods” (2012), which explored darker and more experimental elements. Their fourth studio album, “Widow’s Weeds,” was released in 2019.

Silversun Pickups’ music often explores themes of love, introspection, and surreal imagery. They have maintained a dedicated fan base and are known for their energetic live performances. The band’s ability to create a sonic landscape that combines both ethereal and intense elements has contributed to their enduring appeal in the alternative rock scene.

Recently the band released Acoustic Thrills (June 16, New Machine Recordings), an EP that features live, stripped-down, and reimagined versions of three songs off their latest album, the Butch Vig-produced Physical Thrills. The EP was performed and recorded as part of Gibson Guitars’ “The Songbook” series. Nikki Monninger of the band shares, “this was the first time we had the pleasure of collaborating with Gibson for their series. After building so many layers on the album it felt great to strip these songs down to their rawest form.”
