Slow Pulp

Joel Voorman

Madison, WI-bred and Chicago-based band Slow Pulp – Emily Massey (vocals/guitar), Alexander Leeds (bass), Theodore Mathews (drums), and Henry Stoehr (guitar) – released their remarkable debut album ‘Moveys’ in the Fall of 2020 to critical acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, NPR, NYLON, AV Club, Stereogum, and more. They are preparing to embark on a North American tour in support of the record, and are releasing a new single in advance of the tour kick-off. “’Shadow’ was written on the tail end of recording Moveys in the Spring of 2020,” the band explains. “This song is about feeling like you’re out of control, like there’s a certain part of you that doesn’t seem to want to work with the rest.
