On April 4, 2025, Bayside brought their 25th Anniversary: The Errors Tour to the House of Blues in Cleveland, delivering a high-energy performance that celebrated their enduring presence in the punk rock scene. Tonight was night one of a two-night stand at the venue. Two completely different shows, with night one including songs from ‘Sirens and Condolences,’ ‘Self-Titled,’ ‘The Walking Wounded,’ and ‘Shudder.’ These songs are among Bayside’s most performed tracks and are representative of their early work.(Songs were sourced from their remaining albums for the second night.)
The band’s tight musicianship from frontman Anthony Raneri‘s emotive vocals resonated with the audience, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
By the time Bayside hit the stage, the energy in the venue was buzzing like a live wire. The band launched straight into fan-favorite “Montauk,” off of their self-titled record, and the room erupted — a sea of voices singing along word-for-word, fists raised, eyes closed. It was clear from the start that this wasn’t just a concert — it was a celebration.
Raneri’s vocals were in top form — powerful, nuanced, and packed with emotion. Guitarist Jack O’Shea, as always, was a spectacle in his own right, shredding solos with intensity and precision. Bassist Nick Ghanbarian and drummer Chris Guglielmo locked in tight grooves that kept the crowd moving from start to finish. Their chemistry was palpable — a band that knows each other inside and out and still seems to genuinely love playing together.
Between songs, Raneri shared stories and jokes, reminiscing about Bayside’s early days and the band’s deep appreciation for the fans who’ve stuck by them. “We love Cleveland,” he shouted mid-set.
Show highlights included “Duality, “The Walking Wounded,” and “A Call to Arms.”
The set concluded with the double-bang of “I and I” and “Dear Tragedy.”
BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE! Bayside returned for a three-song encore: “Landing Feet First,” Blame it on Back Luck,” and calling it a night with “Devotion and Desire.”
The nearly-sold-out venue buzzed with energy as long-time fans and newcomers alike were treated to a night of nostalgic yet fresh punk rock. Bayside’s Cleveland show was a testament to their lasting impact and the loyal community they’ve built over the past quarter-century.
Opening the night was Chicago-based punk act Sincere Engineer, led by Deanna Belos. Known for blending punk-pop, emo, and folk influences, they set the tone for the evening with a high-energy performance.
