Holy Shit!” – Our reaction over here at team CleveRock when the lineup for Bunbury Music Festival was announced! Scheduled for June 5 through 7 in Cincinnati, Ohio, this year’s festival will feature headliners The Avett Brothers, Akron, Ohio’s own Black Keys, and Snoop Dog.
But the fun doesn’t stop with the headliners. The festival features incredible support acts including Bleachers, The Devil Makes Three, Old Crow Medicine Show, Brand New, The Decemberists, among close to four dozen others!
What is sure to make the festival even better than last year is the change in promoter. The festival has been purchased by Columbus, Ohio based independent promoter, PromoWest, which operates several venues in Columbus (including LifeStyle Communities Pavilion and Newport Music Hall) and also opened Pittsburgh’s hottest venue, Stage AE, in 2010.
“We are excited to expand into the Cincinnati market. We have strong relationships with the bands that play Bunbury as they play our venues throughout the year,” said Scott Stienecker, president and CEO of PromoWest Productions. PromoWest will handle all booking, marketing, sponsorship and production of the festivals and Bill Donabedian will continue to oversee operations.
