On a warm August night, people lined up on Euclid Avenue in anticipation of entering The Agora, excited to see d4vd and special guest, Laundry Day. Fans chatted excitedly outside the theater, decked out in stylized fits, many inspired by d4vd’s personal aesthetic: low-rise jeans, baggy tees, short skirts, and topped off with stylish accessories such as bandanas and heavy jewelry.
Laundry Day kicked things off, lining the very front of the stage and jumping into their set with the banger “R U READY?”—and the crowd proved they definitely were. The energy skyrocketed as the band played under pulsing multicolored lights, the vibes bouncing off the walls just as much as the music.
As Laundry Day wrapped their set to waves of applause, they stepped aside to reveal a breathtaking stage transformation. Behind them stood a dreamy setup: a garden of white roses, marble steps with white columns leading to taller platforms, and a massive black metal gate lined with towering leaves along the back wall, all illuminated by soft blue lighting. It felt like stepping into an enchanted private garden, exuding elegant and moody vibes, and feeling as though one had stepped into the cover of the ‘Withered’ (2025) album itself.

The anticipation in the room was electric. Chants of “we want David” (yes, that’s how the moniker of David Burke) echoed through the venue, fans hyping themselves up even as a stagehand walked out to tape the setlist down, which earned him unexpected cheers of his own from the audience. Then suddenly, right at 8 o’clock, a sharp red beam burst from the gate, cutting through the darkness and landing right in the front row. The room held its collective breath as the guitarist and drummer took their places.
And then, D4vd burst onto the stage, styled in a red tee, designer jeans, layered chains and bracelets, a black bandana, and freshly painted red and black nails. He launched into “What Are You Waiting For” from his latest album ‘Withered,’ bouncing around the stage and reaching into the crowd, fully locked into the moment and the energy the crowd was giving him. One of the most entertaining moments came when d4vd jokingly called out his “performative male fans,” challenging them to sing Laufey’s part during his duet with her, “Is This Really Love?” to which the crowd rose to the challenge, not missing a beat.
Midway through his set, during his hit “Here With Me,” the show came to a sudden halt, as a fan had collapsed in the pit. d4vd acted quickly and compassionately, ensuring the fan received medical attention. He jumped into the photo pit, offering to sign anything fans had on them. Newly purchased shirts, albums, and hats from the merch table, as well as personal items such as wallets, arms, and even someone’s shoe! Once the fan was safe, he restarted the song from the top so everyone could fully experience it.
Later in the set, during “Always Love,” a similar incident happened, and d4vd once again paused everything to prioritize the fan’s safety, showing his genuine care for the crowd. Once again, he started from the top. He closed the night with a powerful performance of “Romantic Homicide,” a fan favorite from his earlier album ‘Petals to Thorns’ (2023). It was the perfect ending to a night for Cleveland fans that felt intimate, electric, and will not be forgotten anytime soon.
