Gigi Perez made a special visit to Cleveland to headline the Agora Theatre on June 30, 2026. Despite the uncomfortable summer humidity, fans showed their excitement as they waited in the long lines outside the venue well ahead of the scheduled door time. As the venue filled with many concertgoers, the exciting energy with handmade signs and Gigi Perez merchandise were prevalent in the theater. Perez started her show with “Please Be Rude”; one of my personal favorite songs! (I was thrilled that I was within arms reach of Perez and capturing this performance while stationed in front of the barricade and in the photo pit! ) The backdrop featured stars and a lighthouse from her album, ‘At the Beach, In Every Life.’
From the moment the 26-year-old songwriter stepped onstage, she took control with her energetic and expressive demeanor. She was dancing beside her guitarist and band members. She flipped her hair with the rhythm of each song. Even technical moments were handled so seamlessly, such as a crew member handing her a guitar in the middle of a song. Instead of relying on rehearsed choreography, Perez allowed her genuine emotion, natural movement, and authentic connection with her musicians to shine throughout the show.
Show highlights included opening act Sam Worley joining her during the set to perform “Vertigo” and a special performance with her sister, Isabelle Perez for a heartfelt performance of “Sugar Water.”

In between songs, she took the time to thank fans, telling them everyone looked so beautiful and expressing her gratitude for the continuous support. Beyond her top-notch performance Perez opened up about how much of her music was born from grief. She reminded the audience that healing is possible, while sharing the message, “Things can get better when you’re alive, nothing is ever written in stone.” Even though she admitted to struggling with her voice, she continued to give everything she had throughout the entire show, never allowing it to weaken the emotion behind her songs. I think this is incredible considering this headlining gig is a one-off from opening Noah Kahan’s massive stadium tour. As the audience sang the chorus of “Sailor Song” one final time, the night ended not only as a celebration of her music, but also as a reminder to never give up!
Opening act Sam Worley, introduced himself and shared with the audience that this was his first national tour. He embraced the opportunity with an energetic and confident performance. With his genuine enthusiasm and warm stage presence, he introduced the crowd to his songs, most notably, “Moment of Grace,” “The Bus,” “Lucid,” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released.” His performance started the evening on a high note. The crowd was engaged in his opening set as fans were screaming, “Let’s go, Sam!” Mark my words, this isn’t the last fans will hear from Sam!
