Daily Show Convention Sideshow is buckets of fun

Do you have a random off work? Are you going downtown to protest the circus that is Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention? If so, you won’t want to miss the Daily Show Convention Sideshow, taking place at 2400 Superior Avenue from Noon to 5:00 pm.

Presented by Comedy Central and “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” the free public event turns this “circus-esque” political season into a fully interactive, comedic and social experience with games and activities for all ages, regardless of party affiliation

Event highlights include a replica of Trevor Noah’s Daily Show desk, which makes for a great photo opp!

Have you ever pictured yourself as a president? Take a look in a fun house styled mirror and take a look at yourself looking like your favorite political figure…complete with a funny quote bubble.

As the marquee activation, ‘Run for the Border’ offers attendees a chance to put their political passion to the test with an interactive game oriented in front of an expansive digital projection and features a row of seats equipped with hand controls that propel on-screen avatars in a race to the nearest border.

And for those of you that mastered whack-a-mole as wee one, go ahead and see if you still have the skills by taking your shot at knocking down ‘Hot Button Issues’ with a foam hammer.

Oh, and for anyone coming from out of town, you are doing yourself the disservice if you neglect to pick up a taco (or seven) from the Barrio food truck. It’s inaccurate to say you experienced Cleveland without grabbing some of the best food the city has to offer.
