Want to send summer off in style? Trade the field for the sand. Oceans Calling — curated in partnership with Maryland’s own roots-rock heroes O.A.R. — takes over the classic Ocean City Boardwalk for three days, with 40+ acts across three stages, ocean views, east-coast eats, and even amusement park rides at Jolly Roger at the Pier built right into the grounds. It’s the rare festival where you can catch a stadium-level headliner and then go ride a roller coaster. This is the fourth annual edition, and the lineup is its biggest yet.

The Headliners

• Dave Matthews Band (Friday, Sept 25) — Returning for their second Oceans Calling headline set. A DMB show by the ocean at sunset is about as good as a Friday night gets.
• Twenty One Pilots (Saturday, Sept 26) — Genre-bending, theatrical, and wildly energetic — the duo turns every show into a full-blown spectacle.
• Mumford & Sons (Sunday, Sept 27) — Closing the weekend behind their album Prizefighter, with those stomp-and-holler anthems built for a giant beachfront singalong.

A Loaded Day-by-Day Bill

Friday also brings Yellowcard, Shaggy, Everlast, Gavin DeGraw, Better Than Ezra, KT Tunstall, and Shwayze. Saturday stacks Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, All-Time Low, 311, Gwen Stefani, Violent Femmes, Dashboard Confessional, and Everclear. Sunday rounds it out with Matchbox 20, My Morning Jacket, CAAMP, The Head & The Heart, Hanson, Jet, and OK Go.
