Raine Maida, frontman for alt-rock powerhouse Our Lady Peace (one of this writer’s all-time favorites) and his wife, Chantal Kreviazuk combined project, MOON VS SUN, will finally release their debut album that seems like it has been FOREVER in the making.
The record, accompanied by a full-length documentary on the creative process, both titled ‘I’m Going to Break Your Heart,’ will see a proper release on April 26. The film debuted at Canadian film festivals and select outlets in 2019, but has, until now, not seen widespread release in the U.S.
Music that has debuted ahead of the record release shows departures from both Maida’s Our Lady Peace and Kreviazuk’s solo works, creating its own sound that is unique to MOON VS SUN.
According to the official bio:
“Writing together on their own project for the first time, they touch on the depth of their lives and partnership in a lyrical honesty rarely explored, while creating music based on their most profound influences – Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and Neil Young… Passionate, honest and brave, the duo is embarking on their most challenging and fulfilling music journey yet, together.”
Chantel and Raine are holding a virtual screening + Q &A on April 9 and 10 as well as a live stream concert on April 30. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE: RIGHT HERE!
