The Grog Shop, a famed Cleveland Heights music venue that has hosted EPIC concerts over the years, hosting everyone from Panic! at the Disco’s special one-off show to Bruno Mars on his first major tour; Dinosaur Jr. to Jonathan Richman; Andrew McMahon (with opening act fun.) to the early days of The Black Keys (opening for Bob Log III), comedy shows including Dave Hill and Michael Ian Black, and countless regional talents, indie darlings, future stars, burnt-out former stars, and everyone in between! Like all independent venues, there is no sugarcoating the fact that they are in danger of the stage lights dimming for good.
Anyone who has seen a show at the Grog knows what a special place it is. From the incredibly awesome staff, great beer selection, and intimate setting, it’s quite possibly the best place in Cleveland to catch a show (or perhaps tied with the Beachland Ballroom?)
